INTRODUCTION
There are lots of different things happening on the River Thames. Many of the things are making the river better and providing ways for lots of people to use the river. The Thames is very important for life in London. It provides a home for lots of different types of animals, including invertebrates, fish and birds. But it also provides for people too. If you live in the London area, the Thames provides your drinking water!

Most people would be surprised to learn that the Thames is home to lots of different wildlife. The river provides each animal and plant with all the things they need to survive.
