Foreshore Walks

Discover the hidden treasures of the Thames

image

Follow in the footsteps of Victorian street children, many of whom scraped by, by ‘mudlarking’ on the Thames Foreshore; hunting for anything they could find which they could sell.

Be prepared to get muddy! Please come with either walking boots or wellingtons. Also be aware that the mud banks shift fairly quickly as the weather and flow change. What was gravel one day can be mud the next!
