Thames Explorer Trust and our partners run a number of events throughout the year.

Thames Explorer Trust

FREE river dipping session at Chiswick Pier’s Party on the Pier, Sunday 16th July at 1.30 pm. Find out about the creatures that live in the Thames – you might find a crab or an eel! Suitable for children 5 and over, must be accompanied by an adult. Bring wellies and be prepared for mud, rain and shine. Party on the Pier is a fun day out for all the family, to find out what’s on, click here

Archaeology Foreshore Explorations. Adults and families can take part in our guided mudlarking events on the Thames foreshore by the Millennium Bridge. Who knows what will be found…old smoking pipes, pottery, bones…there is lots of evidence of London’s past to be found at low tide on London’s largest excavating site. The House Mill

The House Mill, Bromley by Bow: Free contemporary art exhibition – Changing Places, 7th to 16th July. Guided tours will lead visitors through the Grade 1 listed tidal mill. More information can be found by clicking here

The House Mill is a grade 1 listed 18th century tidal mill set in a beautiful riverside location in the heart of London’s East End. Originally built in 1776, on an existing pre-Domesday site it is the largest existing tidal mill in the world. click here
