What was it like on the Thames foreshore today?
We had a lovely autumn day, even though the clouds
were stating to move in. Unfortunately, the tide
came in VERY quickly so the foreshore was covered
over. This meant that we weren't able to find
as many animals as we had hoped, as most of the
shore was underwater. We still managed to find
shrimps, snails, leeches and a Chinese mitten
crab.
What does our survey us about the "Rhythms
of the River"?
We couldn't get a very good picture of the river
since the tide came in, but what we found today
is consistent with other autumn findings. The
freshwater shrimp are doing well, which is a good
sign for the river.
